While there are many national and international standards for various types of network cabling, the cables below represent a significant portion of the fiber network cables commonly used in today's data center environment.

Typically, Single Mode Fiber is encased in a Yellow Jacket, Multi-mode Fiber in Orange, and 10Gb Fiber in Aqua for easy identification in the field.
